The Canterbury Red Devils are a New Zealand ice hockey club from Christchurch, which was founded in 2005 and plays in the New Zealand Ice Hockey League. Play their home games from the club in the Alpine Ice Sports and Entertainment Centre.

History

The Canterbury Red Devils was founded in 2005 along with the New Zealand Ice Hockey League, in which they were one of four founding members. In its first season, the team's fourth and thus last in the regular season was. After a third place in 2006 the team moved two times in a row as the main round winner in the finals one in which it was defeated despite home advantage each Botany Swarm. First, the team lost 0:7 in 2007 and eventually almost 2:3 nV in the 2008 season. During their third finals in a row, the Red Devils in 2009 managed by a 5-4 win over Southern Stampede for the first time winning the championship. In 2012 and 2013 the team was able to win the New Zealand title.
