Canton of Caumont-l'Éventé
The canton of Caumont- l'Éventé is a further breakdown of the arrondissement of Bayeux in Calvados in the Basse- Normandie region of France. Representative of the General Council of the department is continuous since 1998, Sylvie Lenourrichel.
History
The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 with the establishment of the departments as part of the then " district Bayeux ".
With the establishment of the arrondissements on 17 February 1800 the canton was again cut as part of the then arrondissement Bayeux.

Geography
The canton is bordered to the north by the Canton Balleroy, in the east and southeast to the cantons Tilly -sur -Seulles and Villers- Bocage in the arrondissement of Caen, in the south to the Canton Aunay -sur -Odon in the arrondissement of Vire and the west by the cantons Torigni -sur- Vire and Saint- Clair -sur- l'Elle in the arrondissement of Saint- Lô in the department of Manche.
