Captain Jack (Band)

Captain Jack is a Euro dance band and a registered trademark of the Wiesbaden producer Udo Niebergall. The project is particularly successful in Europe ( Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Scandinavia ), and especially in Japan, which is why many songs and CDs were also published only there. A total of 19 gold and platinum awards were presented and sold over seven million albums and 35 million compilations containing tracks of Captain Jack world.

History

The original front men were the singer Liza da Costa and the captain Durban. In December 1995, Durban left the group and was replaced by Francisco Gutierrez ( Franky Gee ). It was followed by two albums The Mission and Operation Dance. Then Liza Da Costa launched a solo career. She is the front woman of the Jazz Band Hotel Bossa Nova. Her successor was the Filipino singer Maloy ( Maria Lucia Lozanes ), which stood for the album The Captain's Revenge available. Illi Love accompanied the project then over five years.

By the death of frontman Franky Gee on 22 October 2005 a successful continuation seemed unlikely, however, was presented a replacement of the band in the summer of 2008: frontman is now Bruce Lacy, singer Laura ( participant in the fourth season of Germany sucht den Superstar and the first Season of The Voice of Germany ) replaced their predecessors Sunny and Jamie Lee. On 18 September 2008, the single Turkish bazaar, which reached several European chart positions appeared. On 17 October 2008, the album Captain Jack Is Back followed. The new pieces were removed from the party sound or dance-floor beat, to Black & Reggaeton & rap beats.

The new album, Back to the Dancefloor with DJ remixes of the old singles as well as new compositions appeared in April 2011.
