Card Walker

E. Cardon Walker, known as Card Walker, ( born January 9, 1916 in Rexburg, Idaho, † November 28, 2005 in La Canada Flintridge, California ) was an American manager.

Life

Card Walker began his career in 1938 in the mailroom of the Disney Corp.. and worked his way up in the Group. After the death of Roy O. Disney Walker was one of the leading managers of the Walt Disney Company. He was 1971-1977 President of Disney, from 1977 to 1983 and CEO from 1980 to 1983 Chairman of the Board. He was also a member of the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee and thus involved in the organization of the 1984 Summer Olympics.

Walker was the father of Disney World in Florida, under his direction was Epcot in Florida, Tokyo Disneyland and the Disney Channel, the first cable - TV from Disney.
