Caren Sonn

Caren Sundays, nee Young, ( born January 18, 1968 in Ulm) is a former German track and field athlete. She was twice German champion in the 100 - meter hurdles and in the hall six times German champion in the 60 - meter hurdles.

Life

After her students time and various injuries Caren Jung arrived at the age of 22 years at the German top. In 1990 she was first champion in the hall. They even started doing for the TK Grevenbroich, but then switched to MTG Mannheim. Other titles in the hall followed in 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998 and 2000, first under her birth name, after the wedding with the vaulter Ralf Sonn then as Caren Sundays. Outdoors, she was twice German champion in 1995 and 1998.

Sunday took part in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, ​​in 1995 at the World Championships in Gothenburg and in 1998 at the European Championships in Budapest. At the European Indoor Championships 1990, she finished fifth in 1996 and 1998, she was sixth, respectively. At the World Cup 1998 in Johannesburg they could reach the fifth place.

In August 2000, Sun stepped back from competitive sports. The graphic designer founded an advertising agency in Mannheim.
