Carl Gustaf Tessin

Carl Gustaf Tessin ( born September 5, 1695 in Stockholm, † January 7, 1770 at Schloss Åkerö, community Flender ), son of Nicodemus Tessin the Younger, was a Swedish politician and Imperial Council and President of the State, which he between 1747 and 1752 board. From 1738 to 1739 he was District Marshal (Chairman) of the Swedish stands the Reichstag. He is considered one of the most influential Swedish politicians of the 18th century.

Together with the architect Carl Hårleman applies Ticino as the founder of the Royal Academy of Arts. 1741, he was inducted into the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. His wife was the maid of honor Ulla Tessin, whom he married in 1727.
