Ulla Tessin

Ulrika " Ulla " Lovisa Tessin (* May 23, 1711 in Stockholm as Lovisa Ulrika Sparre, † December 14, 1768 at Castle Åkerö, community Flender ) was a Swedish maid, Mistress of the Robes and Countess.

Life

As the daughter of Imperial Council and Field Marshal Count Erik Sparre af Sundby and Stina Lillie married Ulla Tessin on 27 Augusti 1727 the diplomat Carl Gustaf Tessin and followed her husband to travel to Vienna ( 1735-36 ), Copenhagen and Paris ( 1739-41 ) and 1744 to Berlin. It was regarded as artistically gifted and advanced their social contacts during the time of her husband's diplomatic tasks.

In the 1730s Ticino and her husband in amateur theater in Stockholm were active and appeared in performances with. Ulla Tessin was a close friend and protege of Princess Luise Ulrike of Prussia. As this was 1751 Queen of Sweden, she appointed Ulla Tessin to her Mistress. The correspondence between the two women are preserved in the National Archives.
