Carl Hermann Busse

Carl ( Hermann ) buses ( born November 12, 1872 in Linde city at Birnbaum / Posen ( today Międzychód, Poland); † December 3, 1918 in Berlin) was a German lyric poet. He worked as a literary critic and published, under the pseudonym Fritz Döring, even poetry and prose.

Life

Carl Busse attended high school in Wongrowitz. He lived from about 1893 in Berlin and visited also the Militärpädagogium. From 1894 he studied philology, history and philosophy at the University of Berlin and received his doctorate in 1898 with Wolfgang Golther at Rostock University with a thesis on Novalis ' poetry. Since 1898 he worked as a freelance writer and literary critic in Berlin, was co-editor of the German weekly paper, a journal of politics, art and literature, and employees of Velhagen & Klasing Monatshefte. Buses was a founding member of the " cartel German lyric writers ."

The composer Heinrich Kaspar Schmid set to music in 1903 in op.9 the poem " Beautiful Night " for voice and piano. The premiere was on 18 June 1903 Munich Odeon at a concert by students of the Academy of Music, the piano was Heinrich Kaspar Schmid. Buses took off in 1916 as part Landsturmmann the First World War and was awarded the Iron Cross Second Class. Buses died in the 1918 Spanish flu swept through Europe and was buried in Berlin- Kreuzberg in the graveyard of Friedrichswerder community.

With his wife, Paula, Sara Jacobsen he had two daughters, Christine and Ute. The ground floor of the house in Heath Road 25-26 in Steglitz had his widow in the spring of 1924, Dora Diamant and Franz Kafka, aka " Dr. Kaesbohrer " rented. Paula Busse was deported by the Nazis in the Theresienstadt ghetto, which she survived.

His brother George Busse- Palma was also a man of letters.

In Berlin, the Busseallee is named after him.

Buses belonged to the circle of authors and writers who cooperated in the textual design of the Stollwerck Collecting pictures and scrapbooks on behalf of the Cologne Chocolate producer Ludwig Stollwerck. Carl bus poem Over the mountains (山 の あなた, Yama no Anata ) is in Japan through the anthology KAICHÔ on Ueda Bin from 1905 ( most recently in 2010 re-released ) still known today.
