Carl Ouellet

Carl Joseph Yvon Ouellet ( born December 30, 1967 in Montreal, Quebec ), better known by his ring name Carl Ouellet and Pierre Ouellet, was a Canadian professional wrestler. One of his greatest achievements is the triple receipt of the WWF World Tag Team Championship with Jacques Rougeau.

Life

Youth

At the age of 12, he lost the sight in his right eye after a friend he had accidentally shot with an air rifle. He therefore began to wear an eye patch, which in his wrestling career was later one of his trademarks.

Ouellet was trained by Gino Brito and debuted in 1987. Was followed by appearances at various independent promotions. He has appeared regularly from 1992 on at the League Catch Wrestling Association. He should also be involved again, particularly from 1997.

World Wrestling Federation / World Championship Wrestling

In 1993, Ouellet joined the World Wrestling Federation. Along with Jacques Rougeau he made in July 1993, the tag team The Quebecers. As a manager acted Johnny Polo. In 1993 and 1994, the Quebecers won three times the WWF World Tag Team Championship. After Rougeau in 1994 left the promotion, Oulette initially approached as a pirate by the name of Jean Pierre LaFitte. After he was hit at a house show the reigning Champion Diesel ( Kevin Nash ), he tried to return to the WWF Championship. But the management of the WWF objected to these plans. After a tantrum of Oulette this was subsequently dismissed.

In 1996, Ouellet in WCW. There he trained with Jacques Rougeau the tag team The Amazing French Canadians, especially against the Public Enemy (Rocco Rock Johnny Grunge ) and the Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) took. 1998 both returned again for two years in the WWF back and went back to as The Quebecers. After his contract expired in January 2000, he was active short time with Extreme Championship Wrestling, but changed after a verlorenenen title match against Justin Crediblewieder in WCW. There he was part of "Team Canada" keep Bret Hart and was allowed on August 14, 2000 for a night the WCW Hardcore Championship, but lost in the same evening against Norman Smiley. 2000 ran from his visa and he was forced to return to Canada.

After WCW

From November to December 2003, he joined Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA ) as a masked wrestler under the ring name " The Masked X". As of 2004, followed by occasional appearances in independent leagues. On 8 February 2011 he announced his retirement from the wrestling business. His last match he played against Desmond Wolfe in Montreal.
