Nigel McGuinness

Steven Haworth ( born January 23, 1976 in London) is a former British wrestler who is currently under the name Nigel McGuinness as a commentator in Ring of Honor under contract.

Career

Ring of Honor / World Wrestling Entertainment

Steve Haworth announced on August 9, 2003, his debut in Ring of Honor, as he was allowed to compete against Chet Jablonski. He stepped to 2004 continuously on for this promotion. Initially not particularly encouraged, it was later allowed Haworth to compete against Colt Cabana and to defeat this in the context of the storyline. He was the No. 1 contender to the ROH Pure title, held at this time Samoa Joe.

On August 27, 2005 Haworth was able to win the ROH Pure title for the first time by the Samoa Joe defeated. This track he had on 12 August 2006 submitted in response to a title unification match when he had to lose to former ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson. A little later, Haworth changed but the market leader World Wrestling Entertainment.

On September 3, 2005 Haworth approached for Ohio Valley Wrestling. There he was not promoted enough and they let him deny only insignificant matches. So Haworth signed after his contract again promoting a contract with ROH.

Ring of Honor / Total Nonstop Action Wrestling

Following his re- commitment began in ROH, slowly build up to Haworth title challenger. And on 6 October 2007, he was allowed the ROH PPV " Undeniable " the ROH World Title win, as Haworth could defeat the previous champion Takeshi Morishima. Despite all the success in ROH Haworth let his contract run out again.

Mid-October 2009 Haworth signed a contract with TNA. In Impact on 22 October 2009 Haworth first appeared before TNA cameras as Desmond Wolfe and attacked as part of the storyline, the former TNA champion Kurt Angle. After several feuds he had to pause due to an undisclosed illness since September 2010. His comeback was Haworth during the recording of TNA Xplosion on 16 May 2011 as the new Commissioner of this mission. On June 17, 2011 it was announced that TNA Wrestling parted from Haworth.

13 August 2011 Haworth returned under the name Nigel McGuinness to Ring of Honor back. He commented next to the former WWE commentator Kevin Kelly, the show, which can be seen since September 2011 again in American TV. In November of 2011, to end his career. This was followed on 11 November 2011, a farewell tour. He appeared in the independent scene, among other things, on November 26 in Oberhausen, on 17 December 2011 and completed his last match.
