Carla Overbeck

Will Carla Overbeck ( born May 9, 1968 in Pasadena as Carla Will ) is a former American football player. She was a defender.

She grew up in Richardson and played at Richardson High School. After school, she moved to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she won four times the national college championship. On June 5, 1988, she debuted in the only game of the U.S. against Czechoslovakia in the U.S. national team. Later, she played for the Raleigh Wings in the W-League as well as for Caroline Courage in the WUSA.

She took in 1991, 1995 and 1999 at the World Cup finals. 1991 and 1999 she became world champion in 1995 she won with her team to third place. She took part in the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games, which in 1996 won the gold medal in the finals and played her 100th international game. After the 2000 Olympics, she finished her career with 168 caps.
