Carlo Croccolo

Carlo Croccolo ( born April 9, 1927 in Naples) is an Italian actor and film director.

Life

Croccolo began his career in 1945 at Radio Roma and in supporting roles on various stages. There he developed with Luciano Tajoli the figure of Pinozzo - a slightly retarded and lowbrow Naive - which he represented in several pieces and also in a movie. In his long film career that began in the late 1940s, he played in 118 films, mostly comedies. As the role offers were rare in the mid- 1960s, he moved to a second career as a voice actor for numerous films; among other things, he was the Italian voice of Oliver Hardy and Totò in his last films. In 1971, he led under the pseudonym Lucky Moore directed two spaghetti westerns. Middle of the next decade, he joined as an actor again reinforced.
