Carlo Mazzone

Carlo Mazzone ( born March 19, 1937 in Rome ) is an Italian former football player and coach.

Career as a football player

Carlo Mazzone played in the clubs AS Roma, Ascoli Calcio SPAL and several years as a defender in Serie A and Serie B Ascoli When he was nine players, with his final season in 1968/69 was also his first as a coach.

Career as a football coach

The Bianconeri Ascoli Calcio, he oversaw twelve years in the Divisions Series A, Series B and Series C. Subsequently he was a coach three years at Fiorentina, two years at U.S. Catanzaro, four at U.S. Lecce, three at Cagliari Calcio, three at his favorite team AS Roma, one season at Napoli, one at Pescara Calcio and one at Perugia Calcio. In his coaching career, he also oversaw the FC Bologna and Brescia Calcio.

On 7 February 2006, he was the successor to the, to disagreements with the club's President, Franco Spinneli, Roberto Donadoni dismissed at AS Livorno. Under Mazzones leadership of the province Club reached only six points in nine games and fell from a secure UEFA Cup place in the middle of the Serie A from.
