Carlos Alberto Brenes

Carlos Alberto Brenes Jarquín ( born December 2, 1884 in Masaya, † January 2, 1942 Managua) was on June 9, 1936 to January 1, 1937 President of Nicaragua.

Life

Carlos Alberto Brenes Jarquín was born in a family which traditionally Conservador the Partido de Nicaragua belonged. Carlos Alberto Brenes Jarquín completed his studies at the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala from a doctor of human medicine. In Guatemala, there was at this time Manuel José Estrada Cabrera of the Partido Liberal, Carlos Alberto Brenes Jarquín was a member of the Partido Liberal Nacionalista. Immediately after graduation in Guatemala, he made a postgraduate course in San Francisco, California, where he was also active in the Liberal Party. After returning to Nicaragua, he was a deputy in the Parliament and its President. In June 1936, the Parliament determined him to finish the term of Juan Bautista Sacasa on June 9, 1936 to January 1, 1937 had been weggeputscht after Sacassa by his nephew Anastasio Somoza García.
