Carol Potter (actress)

Carol Elizabeth Potter ( born May 21, 1948 in New York City, New York) is an American actress who is best known for her role as Cindy Walsh on the television series Beverly Hills, 90210.

Life

After attending high school in Tenafly, New Jersey, Carol Potter joined the Radcliffe College in Massachusetts. In 1977, she debuted on Broadway in Gemini, a piece by Albert Innaurato, which became the fifth- longest listed at the non- musical in Broadway history.

Her first role on television was in 1981 in the Carol Potter series Today's FBI In 1985, she married screenwriter Spencer Eastman, with whom she has a son. Her first husband died in 1988 of lung cancer. In 1990 she married the actor Jeffry Josephson.

At the same time launched the youth series Beverly Hills, 90210, in which she portrayed the role of Cindy Walsh, the mother of the two protagonists Brenda and Brandon Walsh, played by Shannen Doherty and Jason Priestley. Carol Potter worked from 1990 to 1995 in five seasons with. In addition to this role, she has had numerous guest appearances in various television productions.
