Carrières-sous-Poissy
Carrières- sous -Poissy is a municipality with 15,453 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Yvelines department in the Île -de -France region of France. The municipality is part of the Arrondissement of Saint- Germain -en- Laye and is part of the canton of Poissy -Nord. The inhabitants are called Carriérois.
Geography
Carrières- sous -Poissy is located on the right bank of the Seine, about nine kilometers northwest of Saint- Germain -en- Laye. In the north it is bounded by Chanteloup -les -Vignes, Andrésy and Achères in the northeast, Poissy the east and south, southwest of Villennes -sur -Seine and stone curlew -sur-Seine in the north- west.
