Carsten Jørgensen

Carsten Jørgensen ( born October 25, 1970) is a Danish long-distance runner. Jørgensen is cyclo-cross specialist and celebrated his greatest successes in cross-country running and orienteering.

Career

In 1994 Carsten Jørgensen from Fredensborg AK to Blovstrød Loverne, the club he should belong to the rest of his career.

In 1995 he won the bronze medal in Detmold the long distance at the World Orienteering Championships. Two years later he was together with the Danish team world champion in this sport. In December 1997, finally, the triumph he succeeded at the European Cross Country Championships in Oeiras.

In 1998 he presented to Danish records in the 10,000 meters and the half marathon, he also defended his Nordic champion in cross-country running. In 1999 he won the Euro Cross in Luxembourg.

2002 and 2004 he won the Danish orienteering team again bronze and silver at the 2000 re-introduced and every two -yearly European Championships.
