Cary Brothers

Cary Brothers ( b. 1974 ) is an American singer from Nashville, Tennessee.

Biography

As a child he began - influenced by Elvis Presley - to sing. At age eleven, he began to play the piano, but switched to guitar at 13. His music shows many influences, from the British New Wave of the 1980s to the folk of the 1970s.

Cary Brothers has released two EPs, All the Rage and Waiting for Your Letter with only four or five songs. His most famous song is expected to be Blue Eyes. His old friend Zach Braff ( Scrubs) took this song to the soundtrack of his film Garden State, which won a Grammy for Best Compilation 2005. Similar to Joshua Radin Braff also attended at Cary Brothers for several recordings of songs on scrubs and a guest appearance in the fourth season of the series. Even in other series such as Bones, Smallville, Grey's Anatomy or ER songs were used by Brothers and Braff has received Brothers ' song Ride on the soundtrack to his next film, The Last Kiss.

His two EPs reached the top of the iTunes folk charts, his song Blue Eyes reached the top 50 on the iTunes singles chart. The success of the Internet also continued on his MySpace page, where his songs have been played over 4 million times.

Brothers performs regularly as part of the musical community at the Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles. His tours have taken him across the U.S. and Canada with artists like Liz Phair, KT Tunstall, Aqualung, Imogen Heap and The Fray. Together with Tom McRae he brought the Hotel Cafe Tour to Europe and stood so for example in spring 2008 along with Tom McRae, Greg Laswell, Jim Bianco, Brian Wright and Catherine Feeny at different stages of Europe.

His first solo album Who You Are was released on 29 May 2007 in the U.S.. A few months later, on 30 September 2007 it was also available in Germany.
