Caspar Baader

Caspar Baader ( born October 1, 1953 in Basel, hometown entitled in Gelterkinden ) is a Swiss politician ( SVP).

Life

After primary and secondary school in Gelterkinden graduated Baader and 1972 high school in Liestal. He then studied at the ETH Zurich Agronomy ( diploma 1977) and at the University of Basel Law ( licentiate 1982). In 1985, he became the law in the canton of Basel-Land. Baader is now a lawyer and together with his brother Michael along the Baader Baader & Law firm in Gelterkinden.

In the years 1983-1986 was Baader Member of the Municipal Council of Bannwil. Since 1998 he has been the National Council and heard there of the Commission for Economic Affairs and Taxation, which he presided as well. From 2001 until January 2012, he was the SVP Group, in the Federal Assembly. Baader is politically attributed to the right wing of the SVP.

Caspar Baader is married, has three children and lives in Gelterkinden. In the Swiss army he holds the rank of colonel.
