Castellar del Vallès

Castellar del Vallès is a city in the province of Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain). The city is within Catalonia assigned to the district of Vallès Occidental. It is located between Sabadell (7 km) and Terrassa (11 km). The boundaries of the area of Castellar del Vallès by the municipalities of Sant Llorenç de Savall, Matadepera, Terrassa, Sabadell and Sentmenat.

The urban area covers 44.9 km ² and is of 23,455 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013), divided in different parts of the city, inhabited ( corresponds to a population density of 522 persons / km ²). The city lies at an altitude of 331 meters, in addition to the 1105 m high mountain La Mola.
