Catherine Kirui

Catherine Kirui (born 1 March 1976) is a Kenyan long-distance runner.

In 1991, she was the junior race of the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Antwerp Sixth and won gold with the team.

In the adult area, she was at the 1995 World Cross Country Championships in Durham Eleventh and fetched with the Kenyan team gold.

In 2004 she won the Prague Half Marathon as well as the 15 km from Le Puy -en -Velay and won at the Africa Athletics Championships in Brazzaville bronze in the 10,000 m. In the Cross Country Championships 2005 in Saint- Galmier she was on long-haul Sixth and won silver in the team. In 2008 she was second in the Turin Marathon.

Catherine Kirui is the half- sister of former 5,000 m world champion Ismael Kirui.
