3000 metres

The 3000 -meter run is a run- discipline of athletics. It was run by women from 1984 to 1992 at the Olympic Games as well as 1980 to 1993 at the World Athletics Championships. After the 5000 -meter run sparked from this discipline.

In the Hall of the 3,000 - meter race is run by men and women and there is the longest championship distance. Moreover, many open-air athletics meeting, the distance is still running.

The fastest men achieve times at 7:25 minutes, the fastest time women reach at 8:20 minutes.
