Brahim Lahlafi

Brahim Lahlafi ( born April 15, 1968) is a French long-distance runner of Moroccan origin.

In 1995, he was fifth at the World Cross Country Championships in 1998 and second in the African Championships in 3000 -meter run.

Shortly before the 2000 Olympics, he presented 12:49,28 min on his best time over 5000 m. In Sydney, then followed the biggest win of his career when he won over this distance just behind Million Wolde ( ETH) and Ali Saïdi - Sief ( ALG) an Olympic bronze medal.

In 2002, he acquired French citizenship. In 2007, he attempted a comeback in the road race. The expectations that had aroused his half-marathon time of 1:01:00 h, but was shortly afterwards at the Paris Marathon not fair that he finished as the Thirteenth with 2:15:09 hours.
