Michel Jazy

Michel Jazy ( born June 13, 1936 in Oignies ) is a French athlete of Polish descent, between 1953 - 1966 was successful as a middle and long distance runners. He got up from 1956 - 1966 59 times in the French national team. He ran nine world records, 17 European records and 51 French national records and won at European Championships two gold and one silver medal, but lost at the Olympic Games 1960 on 1500m against Herb Elliott. Career
