CCTV-9 is a Chinese television station. CCTV-9 sends a documentation program in English and via satellite ( Hotbird, Astra 2 ), freely receivable on the cable networks of Unity Media and on the Internet via live video stream ( website, live station ).

Both programs are part of the state-controlled China Central Television - broadcasting group and focus primarily on news and documentaries from Asia and the People's Republic of China, but also emit light entertainment programs, educational films and propaganda.
