CD Ourense

The Club Deportivo Ourense is a Spanish football club from the Galician city of Ourense. The club was founded in 1952 playing in the 2012/13 season in the Segunda División B.

History

On September 10, 1952, the Club Deportivo Ourense was founded. Came out of the club as the successor of the Unión Deportiva Orensana that had to be dissolved because of financial difficulties. In the 1959/60 season Ourense played for the first time in the second highest La Liga, Segunda División. In the 2007 /08 season of relegation to the Tercera División followed, Spain's fourth league. This is the first time since 1985 that Ourense plays back as far down after they have been División in the 23 years exclusively in the Segunda División and Segunda B had played.

Ourense plays in O Couto, which has a capacity of 5,625 spectators and the pitch measures 105 × 70 meters.

In the 1967/68 season CD Ourense reached a new internal club record with 30 wins from 30 games in the Tercera División and a goal difference of 98:7 gates. The best scorer of the team is Carballeda with 38 gates.

CD Ourense B is the Second Team of CD Ourense and is currently playing ( season 2008/2009) in the Regional Preferente, the fifth Spanish league, as it descended as the first team of CD Ourense 2008. The place of CD Ourense B in the Tercera División ( Grupo I) has now taken the first team.
