Central Coast Council

Central Coast is located in the middle of the north coast of the island about 220 km from the capital Hobart. The area includes 30 districts and towns: Abbotsham, Camena, Castra, Castra Upper, Cuprona, Forth, Gawler, Gunns Plains, Heybridge, Howth, Kindred, Leith, Loongana, Loyetea, North Motton, Nietta, South Nietta, Penguin, Preservation Bay, West Pine, Preston, South Preston, Riana, South Riana, Spalford, Sprent, Sulphur Creek, Turners Beach, Ulverstone and Ulverstone West. The seat of the City Council is located in Ulverstone on the coast in the north of the LGA where about 6300 inhabitants.

Management

The Central Coast Council has twelve members. The Mayor ( Mayor ), his deputy ( deputies) and Councillor ten are elected directly by the residents of the LGA. Central Coast is not divided into districts.
