Ceratoglanis
Ceratoglanis is a genus of fish belonging to the family of the Real catfish ( Siluridae ), which includes two types occurring in Southeast Asia.
Features
The fish are 28 to 44 cm long and have an elongated body without back and with elongated anal fin. The muzzle is short, with inferior mouth with a short foot column. The eyes behind the posterior nasal opening. The barbels on the upper jaw are short and hook-shaped. The pelvic fins have eight or more beams.
System
The genus includes two species:
- Ceratoglanis pachynema
- Ceratoglanis scleronema
