César Azpilicueta Tanco ( born August 28, 1989 in Pamplona ) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Chelsea in the Premier League.

Playing career

César Azpilicueta, who was born in Pamplona, ​​already played in the Youth for CA Osasuna, before he played for the 2006/07 season as a 16- year-old in the Segunda División B at Osasuna's second team.

In summer 2007, he was promoted with only 18 years in the first team Osasuna. However, he had already given in the previous season in the 0-2 away defeat at Real Madrid on April 8, 2007, his Erstligadebüt. Although he was still very young, he was one of the permanent employees at Osasuna. In three years he completed 99 league games until he moved to French club Olympique Marseille 2010.

On 10 May 2010 Azpilicueta was nominated by Vicente del Bosque for the extended squad of the Spanish national team for FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa. For the final squad he was not nominated. In 2011 he won the U-21 national team, the U-21 European Championship finals in Denmark with a 2-0 against Switzerland.
