Chad & Jeremy

Chad & Jeremy were an English folk-rock guitar and vocal duo, which in the 1960s, especially in the United States was successful. The two singers were Chad Stuart (actually David Stuart Chadwick, born December 10, 1941 in Windermere, Cumbria ) and Jeremy Clyde (actually Michael Thomas Jeremy Clyde, born March 22, 1941 in Dorney, Buckinghamshire ).

Band History

Chad and Jeremy met at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London know. Chad brought Jeremy to play the guitar, and they founded their duo and next to a rock band called The Jerks. The band broke up soon, Chad went briefly to Scotland and worked as an actor. In 1963, they met again in London; Producer John Berry spotted at live performances and took them for the independent label Ember Records.
