Charles Borland, Jr.

Charles Borland junior ( born June 29, 1786 in Minisink, New York, † February 23, 1852 in Ward 's Bridge, New York ) was an American lawyer and politician. Between 1821 and 1823 he represented the State of New York in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Charles Borland Jr. was born about three years after the end of the Revolutionary War in Minisink. He completed his studies and then graduated in 1811 from Union College in Schenectady. He then studied law. After receiving his license to practice law, he began to practice. Borland was ten years as president of the Board of Trustees in Montgomery. He sat in the years 1820 and 1821 in the New York State Assembly.

As opponents of a strong central government, he joined at that time, which was founded by Thomas Jefferson Democratic- Republican Party. He was born on November 8, 1821 in the sixth electoral district of New York in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, there to fill the vacancy that was created by the death of Selah Tuthill. He retired after the March 3, 1823 out of the Congress.

Between 1835 and 1841 he worked as a district attorney in Orange County. During this time he was back in 1836 the New York State Assembly at. He died on 23 February 1852 in Ward 's Bridge and was then buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Montgomery.
