Charles Cyphers

Charles Cyphers ( born July 28, 1939 in Niagara Falls, New York) is an American film actor.

Life

Charles Cyphers began his career as an actor with some small roles at the beginning of the 1970s. From the middle of the decade he was mostly seen in television productions, including three episodes of the series The Six Million Dollar Man. With the beginning of the next decade a brief period of increased theater productions in which Cyphers participated followed.

Cyphers worked with director John Carpenter for the first time on his film Assault - stop at night from the year 1976. There were other films together. So took Cyphers 1978, the role of Sheriff Brackett in the slasher - classic for Halloween - The night of horror. He slipped back into the role in later also directed by Carpenter sequel Halloween II - The Nightmare Is not Over.
