Charles Gondouin

Charles Gondouin ( born August 21, 1875 in Paris, † December 24, 1947 ) was a French rugby union player and umpire, Tauzieher and sports journalist.

Life

The scrum -half played long with Frantz Reichel at the Racing Club de France, with whom he was in 1900 and 1902 French champion. At the Olympics 1900 he was with the French rugby team Olympic champion, he also won the silver medal in the tug of war. In 1914, he served as referee the last final of the French Rugby Championship before the First World War, and at the invitation of the British Association a game between the selections of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge.
