Charles Gordon-Lennox, 8th Duke of Richmond

Charles Henry Gordon - Lennox, 8th Duke of Richmond DSO MVO (* December 30, 1870, † May 7, 1935 ) was a British nobleman.

Charles Henry was a son of Charles Henry Gordon - Lennox, 7th Duke of Richmond and his wife Amy Mary Ricardo. He succeeded his father in 1928 as Duke of Richmond, Lennox and Gordon.

Gordon - Lennox attended Eton College and then studied at Christ Church College, Oxford University. After the end of his training, he went to the British Army and served in the Boer War, where he was awarded the Distinguished Service Order. Most recently, he was a Major in the Irish Guards.

Until the death of his father, whom he survived only seven years, he led the courtesy title of Earl of March. From 1928 to 1935, Gordon - Lennox, Lord Lieutenant of Morayshire.

The Duke married in 1893 Hilda Madeline ( 1872-1971 ), daughter of Henry Arthur Brassey, with whom he had the following children:
