Charles Granger

Charles Ronald McKay Granger PC OC ( born August 12, 1912 in Catalina, Newfoundland; † August 22, 1995 ) was a Canadian journalist and politician of the Liberal Party of Canada.

Life

Granger worked after school as a journalist and began his political career when he was first elected as a candidate of the Liberal Party in the general election in May 1958 the electoral district of Grand Falls - White Bay - Labrador as a member of the House and this first served until August 1966. During this time he was at first, between February 1964 and April 1965 Chairman of the Standing House of Commons Committee of Maritime and Fisheries, July 1966 to January of Parliamentary Secretary of the Minister of Fisheries.
