Charles Michael Jarrell

Charles Michael Jarrell ( born May 15, 1940 in Opelousas ) is an American clergyman and Bishop of Lafayette.

Life

Charles Michael Jarrell received on 3 June 1967, the ordination.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 8 May 1990 as Bishop of Houma - Thibodaux. The Archbishop of New Orleans, Francis Schulte, donated to him on the 4th of March of the next year, the episcopal ordination; Were co-consecrators Warren Louis Boudreaux, retired Bishop of Houma - Thibodaux, and Gerard Louis Frey, Bishop Emeritus of Lafayette.

On 8 November 2002 he was appointed Bishop of Lafayette and introduced into the office on 18 December of the same year.
