Charlie Dent

Again Charles "Charlie" Dent ( born May 24, 1960 in Allentown, Pennsylvania) is an American politician. Since 2005 he represents the state of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Charlie Dent attended until 1978, the William Allen High School in Allentown and then studied until 1982 at the State College of Pennsylvania State University. He finished his education in 1993 at Lehigh University in Bethlehem. In the following years, he served as a member of the staff of Congressman Donald L. Ritter, sales representatives and hotel employee. Politically, he joined the Republican Party. Between 1991 and 1998 he sat as an MP in the House of Representatives from Pennsylvania; 1999 to 2004 he was a member of the State Senate.

In the congressional elections of 2004, Dent was in the 15th electoral district of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Pat Toomey on January 3, 2005. After the previous three elections, he can exercise his mandate in Congress today. He is a member of the Appropriations Committee and the Ethics Committee and three subcommittees. He also belongs to the Congressional Arts Caucus. He is married and father of three children; the family lives in Allentown.
