Charlie Rose

Charles Peete " Charlie " Rose, Jr. ( born January 5, 1942 in Henderson ( North Carolina)) is an American television presenter and journalist. Since 1991 he hosted the talk show Charlie Rose, which is broadcast by PBS since 1993 nationwide and Bloomberg Television since 2009 worldwide. At the same time Rose was a correspondent for 60 Minutes II from the broadcast started in January 1999 until the dismissal in September 2005; after that he was a correspondent for 60 Minutes.

Rose made in 1964 at Duke University with a BA in History. There he met his wife Mary know. He was a member of Kappa Alpha connection. In 1968 he completed his Juris Doctor program.

He interviewed such diverse prominent persons such as Bashar al -Assad (2013 ), President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle (2012), Warren Buffett, Noam Chomsky (2003 ), Leonardo di Caprio (2004 ), John Oliver, Christoph Waltz, Quentin Tarantino, Larry Ellison and Farah Diba.

By his wife Mary he divorced in 1980 after 12 years of marriage. His partner since 1993, Amanda Burden, a stepdaughter of CBS founder William S. Paley.
