Charon (band)

Charon was a Gothic-Metal-/Dark-Rock-Band from Finland. It was founded in 1992. Their musical style has been influenced mainly by Sentenced. Named has the band for the ferryman Charon from Greek mythology. In summer 2011, Charon gave their resolution known after 2010 guitarist Pasi Sipilä already left the band.

Biography

Charon was founded in 1992 by Antti Karihtala, Teemu Hautamäki, Pasi Sipilä and Jasse haste. The first demos as Inexorable Reciprocation, Dies Irae and Pilgrimage arise and still contain mostly death metal music. 1995 Juha -Pekka comes Leppäluoto added as a singer. After they write more melodic songs, they get a contract in 1997 Emancipation Productions.
