Châteauneuf-du-Faou

Châteauneuf -du -Faou ( Breton castle Nevez -ar- Faou ) is a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in the west with 3650 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).

Location

The place is located about 33 kilometers east of the Atlantic coast on the banks of the River Alder. The major city and port of Brest is 53 km north-west of Paris and about 470 km to the east. (In straight line ).

Infrastructure

In Châteaulin there is a descent to the highway E 60 Brest -Nantes and at Morlaix and Landivisiau be departures are on the highway E 50 towards Rennes.

In Châteaulin Quimper and regional train services stop at the railway line Brest -Nantes and the train station of Brest is the terminus of the TGV Atlantique to Paris.

Near the city of Brest in Guipavas is the regional airport Aéroport de Brest Bretagne.
