Châtillon-sur-Loire
Châtillon -sur -Loire is a commune with 3126 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the Loiret in the Centre region. It belongs to the district of Montargis, the Canton Châtillon -sur -Loire and is the seat of the municipal association Canton de Châtillon -sur -Loire.
Geography
The municipality is situated on the left bank of the Loire, and on parallel Ship Canal Canal in the Loire ( dt: Loire Lateral Canal ). The municipality is located approximately in the center of the city triangle Orléans - Auxerre - Bourges, in the south extends a narrow strip of land up to the border of the département of Cher.
Neighboring communities of Châtillon are Saint- Firmin- sur -Loire in the north, Ousson -sur -Loire to the east, Beaulieu -sur -Loire in the south east, Santranges in the south, Cernoy -en -Berry in the southwest and Autry- le- Châtel in the northwest.
