Chekhovskiye Medvedi

Medwedi Chekhov (Russian Гандбольный клуб Чеховские Медведи, to German " Tschechower bear " ) is a Russian handball club from Chekhov, a 73,000 -inhabitant town in the Moscow Oblast. The club grew out of the Handball division of CSKA Moscow.

CSKA Moscow

The Handball division of CSKA Moscow has always stood in the shadow of its larger neighbor May Moscow. The Russian national team was for years almost entirely of players from Medwedi Chekhov.
