José Jaime González Pico ( born July 28, 1968 in Sogamoso ) is a former Colombian cyclist who attained an excellent specialist mountain awareness. His biggest success in the late 1990s were a stage victory in the Tour de France and two triumphs on day sections of the Giro d' Italia. In addition, he succeeded in the latter tour, to secure in 1997 and 1999, the Maglia Verde as best climber. 1998 and 2000 he finished in second place in each of these rating - first behind Marco Pantani and two years later, after the same number of points Francesco Casagrande.
