Chet Faker
Chet Faker (* 1989 in Melbourne, Australia, real name Nicholas James Murphy) is an Australian soul singer.
He studied at St Kevin's College in Sydney. In 2012, he signed a contract with the music label Downtown. In Australia, Chet Faker obtained by the Hit Left Alone with the Australian DJ Harley Streten (aka Flume ) in March 2013 great notoriety. The single reached the first place in the Australian album charts. In October 2012, he won the Breakthrough Artist of the Year and the Australian Independent Records Price Award. In 2013 he won the category " Best Independent Release " Rolling Stone Australia Award. He describes his genre as Future Beat combined with modern soul.
