Chi Cheng (musician)

Chi Cheng ( born July 15, 1970 in Davis, California, † April 13, 2013 in Sacramento, California ) was an American musician, known as the bassist for the alternative metal band Deftones.

Biography

Chi Cheng graduated in 1989 from California State University in Sacramento. During this time, Cheng worked on the campus of the University, wrote poems and already played in the band Deftones. 2000 Cheng published a collection of spoken audio poems called The Bamboo Parachute.

Cheng was seriously injured as a car passenger in a frontal collision of two vehicles on 4 November 2008 and was then several months in a coma.
