Chiara Hölzl

Chiara Hölzl ( born July 18, 1997 Schwarzach im Pongau) is an Austrian ski jumper.

Career

Chiara Hölzl occupied during its debut in the FIS Ski Jumping Continental Cup on 14 August 2010 at a jump in Bischofsgruen 47th. Neither at the competition the next day, nor in the following season they could jump into the top 30 and is therefore not in the overall recorded. Only in the 2012 summer season she jumped in Lillehammer, Norway in the points and thus occupied by two jumping on the Lysgårds -Hill in the final classification the 21th Place.

In their first World Cup competition Chiara Hölzl came on 24 November 2012 in Lillehammer on the 47th. Your first World Cup point she took on 5 January 2013 with the 30th place in Schonach. Then again she could jump into the top 30 and secured to the 26th place five more World Cup points at the penultimate competition of the season in Trondheim. She finished her first World Cup season at the 51st place in the overall standings.

In the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2012 in Erzurum Hölzl reached the 39th place and ninth place in the team competition in singles. After the 13th place at the Junior World Championships 2013 in Liberec, four podium finishes in the Alps Cup and the injury- induced failure of Daniela Iraschko nominated Austrians head coach Harald Rodlauer them. As the youngest jumper that has ever started for the Austrians at a Nordic World Ski Championships, the Goldeggerin reached the individual competition of the ladies on 22 February 2013 Predazzo ninth and was second best behind the third-placed Jacqueline Seifriedsberger Austrian. On February 24, 2013, it won in mixed- team competition with their team mate Thomas Morgenstern, Jacqueline Seifriedsberger and Gregor Schlierenzauer the silver medal.

On March 9, 2013, it secured in Ramsau am Dachstein the Austrian Junior Champion title. The competition was also the last station of the Austria Cup 2012/13, in which she has won eight out of ten jumping and thus the overall standings.

At the beginning of Summer Grand Prix 2013, it failed to reach points in Hinterzarten and Courchevel. Later she was the only Austrian athlete and achieved rank in Nizhny Tagil 4 their best ever international placement. In the overall standings with 95 points, she took the 19th place.

After injury-related loss of Jacqueline Seifriedsberger Hölzl was nominated alongside Daniela Iraschko pride in the squad for the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. When jumping on the normal hill they came in 25th place.
