Chickamauga Creek is the conventional name of a smaller left tributary of the Tennessee River in the North American states of Georgia and Tennessee.

History of Chickamauga was known ( 19 and 20 September 1863) by the same battle during the American Civil War. The river takes its name from the Chickamauga Indians.

Today is, that part of the river, which flows north of Chattanooga in Tennessee in the Tennessee River, South Chickamauga Creek ( to distinguish it from the opposite right leading- North Chickamauga Creek ); The battle took place at the coming of the south ( from Georgia) and east of Chattanooga in the South Chickamauga Creek opens out West Chickamauga Creek. Above the confluence of South and North Chickamauga Creek Tennessee was dammed to Chickamauga Lake.
