Chien -Ming Wang (Chinese王建民, Pinyin Wáng Jianmin, W.-G. Wáng Chien- mín; born March 31, 1980 in Tainan, Taiwan, Republic of China) is a Taiwanese baseball player.
The pitcher Wang played from 2005-2009 in the North American Major League Baseball for the New York Yankees since 2010 for the Washington Nationals. He is also a national player of the Taiwanese baseball team. Wang is currently one of four Taiwanese baseball players in the MLB - next to the Los Angeles Dodgers Hong -Chih Kuo players, Chin- hui Tsao and Chin- Feng Chen.
In 2007, Wang was awarded by the U.S. weekly magazine Time as one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
