Chocielewko

Chocielewko ( German Mackensen ) is a village in the Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland.

Geographical location

The village lies in Pomerania about eight kilometers west of the city Lębork ( Lauenburg in Pomerania ). South of the village flows from east to west, the Leba, branches off from the west of the village of Brenkenhofkanal north.

Neighboring towns are in the northwest Żelazkowo ( Karlin ) and in the north Redkowice ( Rettkewitz ).

History

The village was founded in 1915 by combining the previous Chotzlow places ( in the West) and vitreous formed (in the east ) to a rural community. This was named after Field Marshal Mackensen August von Mackensen.

The place Chotzlow was first mentioned in the 14th century. Since the 16th century, he appeared in the possession of the noble family Pirch.

The place vitreous was first mentioned in 1402, he also formerly owned by the Pirch family.

1912, the goods were located in Chotzlow and vitreous and thereby set up 69 smallholdings. The rural municipality formed in 1915 Mackensen had 545 inhabitants in 1939, it belonged before 1945 to the district Lauenburg i Pom. the Prussian province of Pomerania.

In 1945, the village, as the whole Pomerania, to Poland. 2008, the city had 525 inhabitants.

Church

After the First World War, a stone church was built as a memorial church the army Mackensen and inaugurated in 1926 Mackensen.
