Chodov (Domažlice District)

Chodov ( German: Meigelshof ) is a municipality with 663 inhabitants in Okres Domažlice, Czech Republic. It is located 8 km west of Domažlice on the edge of the Bohemian Forest near the German border in the forest Munich.

Chodov is one of the eleven villages of the Chodsko. Southwest of the village, the 1,042 m high Schwarzkopf is ( Čerchov ).

In the village there are two stone crosses. This one marks the grave of a Russian military personnel of the Napoleonic Wars, and the other is from the year 1674th

1939 lived in the village of 635 inhabitants. From 1940 to 1945, the village belonged to the Bavarian district forest Munich.
